Armistice Day Centenary

Over 100 people gathered at the ‘Auchmore’ Nullawil Historical Precinct for the Armistice Day Service of Remembrance, and dedication of 100 year old Estey Organ. Those in attendance included local residents and ex-residents, representatives from the churches of the parish, members of the Swan Hill Genealogical and Historical Society and Tyntynder Homestead Heritage Council, including author and publisher Ian Itter, and engine enthusiasts from as far away as Nhill.
Many of the “Winston families” were in attendance including the “Watson” sisters who were instrumental in the restoration of the Estey organ- Helen Summerhayes, Yvonne Smith, Glenys Rickard, Wendy Spry and Mandy Moloney. The service was held in the relocated and renovated Winston church, commencing at 9.30am, followed by a flagpole ceremony.
